Why Mechanics Recommend PTFE Hose For Reliable Fuel Systems?
6 months 3 weeks ago #42487 by lesert
Does anyone have experience using ptfe hose for their vehicle’s fuel or brake systems? I’ve heard these hoses offer excellent resistance to chemicals and pressure, but I’m curious how they perform in everyday driving conditions.

Custom Hoses supplies PTFE hoses in the UK and worldwide. Has anyone tried ordering from them? How do their options compare in quality and price?

For those who’ve worked on multiple setups, do PTFE hoses provide noticeable advantages over rubber or nylon braided hoses? How do they handle tight bends or confined engine spaces?

Another thing I’m curious about is longevity. Do PTFE hoses really last several years without showing signs of wear or stiffness?

When buying hoses/oil-fuel-coolant/ptfePTFE hose , where do you usually shop? Would you recommend suppliers like Custom Hoses for guidance on selecting the right size and fittings? Any personal experiences or installation tips would be great to know.
